The voltage level of unmanned substations has gradually increased from 35kV~110kV to 220kV, and even to higher voltage levels. Especially for substations located in remote areas with few people, without on-duty personnel, once a fire occurs, how to detect it, how to report it, and how to rescue are all issues that should be considered in the design of unmanned substations.

Description of the Visualization Fire Alarm System for Substations
The automatic fire alarm system for substations consists of visual image-type fire detectors, linear beam smoke detectors, and temperature-measuring composite image-type fire detectors, which can monitor and alarm for early smoke, fire, and temperature anomalies in the main control room, cable trenches, main transformers, and oil-immersed reactors.
All image-type fire detectors can interact with the fire alarm control panel through input modules, controlling water cannons via a bus to determine fires early and activate the fire extinguishing system.
Image-type fire detectors have both analog and digital interfaces, allowing them to interact with conventional monitoring systems through digital networks, enabling visualization of fire scenes in the control room; they can also push data to cloud servers, allowing fire scenes to be viewed on mobile devices.
